Communications Policy
Effective September 3, 2026 · Version 2026-09-03
ServiceOS supports account, billing, operational, email, and potentially text-message communications. This policy explains the responsibilities that apply to those communications.
ServiceOS messages
ServiceOS may send transactional messages necessary to operate your account, such as security alerts, password resets, billing notices, trial notices, service updates, and requested support responses. Where ServiceOS sends marketing messages, recipients may opt out using the provided unsubscribe method.
Messages sent by business customers
When a business customer uses ServiceOS to contact its customers, leads, or employees, that business—not ServiceOS—is responsible for determining whether the communication is lawful and for obtaining and documenting required consent.
Email requirements
- Use accurate sender and subject information.
- Do not send purchased-list spam or deceptive content.
- Honor unsubscribe and suppression requests promptly.
- Include legally required sender identification and contact information.
SMS/phone requirements
Before sending marketing or automated texts/calls, obtain the consent required by applicable law. Honor STOP and equivalent opt-out requests, maintain suppression records, observe applicable quiet hours, and provide HELP/contact information where required. Message and data rates may apply to recipients.
Emergency use
ServiceOS communications should not be relied on for emergency dispatch, life-safety notifications, or other situations requiring guaranteed delivery.
