Privacy Policy
Effective September 3, 2026 · Version 2026-09-03
This Privacy Policy explains how ServiceOS handles personal information when you visit the ServiceOS website, create or administer a ServiceOS account, use the Service, interact with support, or receive ServiceOS communications.
1. Roles when handling data
For account, billing, website, and ServiceOS support information, ServiceOS generally determines why and how information is processed. When a business customer enters information about its own customers, leads, employees, appointments, jobs, invoices, communications, or similar business records, ServiceOS generally processes that information on the business customer’s instructions as a service provider/processor.
2. Information we collect
- Account and profile information such as name, business name, email address, role, and authentication data.
- Business records entered into the Service, which may include customer contact details, appointments, job records, estimates, invoices, notes, files, communications, and service history.
- Subscription and transaction metadata, such as plan, billing status, invoices, payment status, and processor identifiers. Full card data is generally handled by the payment processor rather than ServiceOS.
- Device, browser, IP address, session, security, audit, and diagnostic information.
- Support requests, feedback, and communications with ServiceOS.
- Cookie and similar-technology data described in the Cookie Policy.
3. How we use information
- Provide, operate, personalize, and support the Service.
- Authenticate users and protect accounts and infrastructure.
- Process subscriptions, trials, billing events, and entitlements.
- Deliver requested communications and Service functionality.
- Troubleshoot, monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and maintain audit records.
- Improve product usability, performance, and features.
- Comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect rights and safety.
4. How information is disclosed
We may disclose information to infrastructure, hosting, payment, communications, security, analytics, and other service providers that help operate ServiceOS; to third-party integrations you choose to connect; in connection with a business transaction; or when required to comply with law or protect rights and safety. ServiceOS does not sell personal information for money and does not use customer data for third-party targeted advertising.
5. Business-customer responsibilities
Business customers control the information they place in ServiceOS about their own customers and workforce. Requests about that data may need to be directed first to the applicable business customer. Business customers are responsible for privacy notices, consent, retention decisions, and lawful communications to their customers.
6. Retention
Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain business and security records, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type, account status, contractual requirement, and backup cycle. Business customers should use ServiceOS retention and deletion tools consistent with their own obligations.
7. Security
ServiceOS uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security. See the Security & Data Protection Overview for additional information.
8. Privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or other controls over personal information. ServiceOS may need to verify identity and may retain information where legally permitted or required. See Privacy Choices & Requests.
9. Communications
You can opt out of marketing communications using the unsubscribe mechanism provided. Transactional, billing, security, and account messages may still be sent when necessary to provide the Service. See the Communications Policy.
10. Children
ServiceOS is intended for businesses and adults and is not directed to children. See the Children’s Privacy Notice.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date and additional notice where appropriate.
12. Contact
Privacy questions and requests may be submitted through ServiceOS Support or the Privacy Choices page.
